information regarding your course for Certified Environmental Hygienist.
What are the prerequisites before one can take the hygienist
certification class. How does the environmental hygienist
certification compare to say that of an Certified Industrial
Hygienist [CIH] as far as credibility is concerned?
A.
Although it is better to
have a college degree [2 years or 4 year program], persons with less
education can qualify for admission to the environmental hygienist
training program provided they have significant job or business
experience in a field reasonably related to such fields as real
estate, appraisal, lending, construction, or the environment. Because
our environmental hygiene education and certification is a new
program that began just last month, it obviously will take several
years for the
Certified Environmental Hygienist
designation to catch up with, or, perhaps, even surpass the
recognition of an industrial hygienist. What we do offer [unavailable
from industrial hygiene schools] is substantial marketing assistance
to obtain many environmental hygiene inspection, testing, and
